Program Planning: Health Disparities in Georgia’s Incarcerated Population

Strengthened skills in public health program planning through a collaborative needs assessment examining chronic disease, mental health, and healthcare access among incarcerated individuals in Georgia. Worked as part of a team to analyze epidemiological data and synthesize evidence to identify priority health concerns. Applied program planning frameworks to support the development of targeted goals, intervention strategies, and measurable outcomes addressing structural and social determinants of health.

Program Evaluation: Flu Shot Experiences Among UGA Students

Developed foundational competencies in program evaluation through a collaborative, survey-based assessment of flu vaccination behaviors among college students. Contributed to the design of a structured data collection tool, participated in data collection (50+ responses), and supported analysis to identify key indicators including motivators and barriers to vaccine uptake. Used findings to inform data-driven recommendations for improving health promotion efforts in a university setting.

Research & Literature Review: Breast Cancer Disparities

Advanced research and analytical skills by authoring a 25+ page literature review examining racial and ethnic disparities in breast cancer diagnosis across the United States. Systematically reviewed 20 peer-reviewed studies to evaluate how socioeconomic, geographic, and healthcare system factors contribute to delayed diagnosis among minority populations, strengthening ability to synthesize evidence and communicate complex public health issues.

Health Communication: Type II Diabetes Education Manual
